About Us
My name is Kimberly Tran, I am a Viet Kieu, Vietnamese American currently living in the United States with frequent visits to Vietnam. I am bi-cultured and bi-lingual fluent in English and Vietnamese both in reading and writing.
I was born and raised in Vietnam and migrated to the United States in the 70s with my parents when I was in my mid teenager age. I was educated in the United States and hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Information System from a reputable university in California USA.
In the mid 90s, I was fortunate to return to Vietnam and had 5 years of experiences in working and living in Vietnam. I first worked in the advertising and public relation for a major English language news paper in Hanoi at the time, the Vietnam Investment Review newspaper. I then moved on to Ho Chi Minh city and worked as Trade Coordinator for Australian Trade Commission, a trade arm of the Australian government. Since returning to the USA, I started my own import and export company importing goods from Vietnam and distributed to stores and hotels in Hawaii, USA.
I am interested in joining Am Cham now to keep current on the progress of the business world in Vietnam and hopefully to be able to contribute to the organization and share with fellow Am Cham members information and knowledge I gathered over the years of living and working both in the U.S. and Vietnam.
