Prof. Willem Smit is Head of Executive Education Development at CFVG (Centre Franco-Vietnamese Management Education), Vietnam's first business school, where he leads the development of executive education programs and partnerships with businesses, government agencies, and international organizations.
He has more than 25 years of international experience in executive education, strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, and workforce development across Europe and Asia. Before joining CFVG, he held faculty and research positions at Fulbright University Vietnam, Asia School of Business, MIT Sloan, IMD, and several other international business schools.
Alongside his executive education work, Willem conducts applied research on workforce transformation, private sector development, semiconductor ecosystem building, and the internationalization of companies. He collaborates with universities, industry, business associations, and multilateral organizations to translate research into practical initiatives that strengthen Vietnam's competitiveness.
As Co-Secretary of the AmCham Vietnam Education & Training Committee, Willem actively contributes to dialogue on talent development, executive education, and public-private collaboration to prepare Vietnam's workforce for the future economy.
