One of my greatest achievements in life is winning Miss Hawaii USA 2014. As a Taiwanese-American, I moved to Hawaii in 2003. Then in 2016, I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Accounting. While part-timing as a waitress, I encountered a once in a lifetime opportunity to compete in the Miss Hawaii USA pageant. Not only did I go on to compete in Miss USA, but I also got to be very involved in my community, often supporting and organizing charity works. Now living and working in Vietnam, I also would like to be involved in the community. I regularly volunteer at a Vietnamese church to teach kids English and Chinese. I believe joining AmCham would better give me the chances to realise my goals in both my careers and my wish to make a change in the community.
